I had the incredible honor of interviewing Carla Kaufman Sloan last week. I met Carla about four years ago when we studied evidential mediumship together with the great Mavis Pittilla. Carla is one of those beautiful souls you don’t forget and she has an incredible story that truly shaped who she is today. I hope you enjoy this episode as much I enjoyed creating it! Love you Carla!
In this episode we talked about:
Carla’s story and how she became a medium
Her grief journey and how that awakened her to her path as a medium
How her son Calder in Spirit shows up through signs
A “born” medium versus a “made” medium
and more!
About Carla:
Carla Kaufman Sloan is an Emmy-winning writer and TV producer whose personal journey of grief and healing has led her to a life of service as a non-profit founder and practicing medium.
The mother of two sons, Carla co-established Caleb and Calder Sloan’s Awesome Foundation with her husband, Chris, after the tragic death of their seven-year-old. The awful accident occurred in their home swimming pool due to faulty high-voltage lighting. Reeling from shock and grief, they turned their focus to helping other children in need, prioritizing kids who have suffered the loss of a parent or sibling.
In addition to writing, Carla is now a practicing medium who has studied with Suzanne Geismann, Mavis Pitilla and her wife, Jean, and Annie Gee, a Mavis Pitilla certified spiritualist teacher and medium.
Carla lives in Miami with her husband Chris, teenage son Caleb, and her Brussels Griffon dog, Charlie.
